Mallory brings her extensive civil litigation experience to Beery Elsner & Hammond. Prior to joining Beery Elsner & Hammond, Mallory defended both individuals and entities, including public bodies, in professional liability and tort claims. Mallory began her legal career in 2008 in her home state of Ohio, where she represented Fortune 500 companies to small businesses in complex personal injury, product liability, consumer, and medical malpractice claims. It was in this role that she was able to gain valuable trial experience, even as a new lawyer. In addition to her litigation background, Mallory has prior experience as general counsel advising a software company in the solar industry on the wide range of legal issues that arose, including employment law matters, contract drafting and negotiation, intellectual property issues, and other day-to-day legal and compliance matters.
Mallory’s practice focuses on representing local governments in litigation. She also works on a variety of issues, including public meetings, public records law, general governance, government ethics, risk management, contract drafting and review, and municipal liability.
In her free time, Mallory enjoys spending time with her husband and long-haired dachshund, camping, hiking, seeing live music, and working on her vintage trailer. In the fall, she can be frequently found watching college football and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes and Oregon Ducks.
